Silent Embrace

Ayed Jasem Baghdad, Sweden

In Silent Embrace, Ayed Jasem distills human connection into abstract form — two figures caught in a moment of contact, neither fully formed nor entirely separate. Through the interplay of crimson, ochre, and grey, the artist explores themes of intimacy, loss, and transformation. The textured surfaces and layered pigments convey both tenderness and fracture, as if emotion itself were embedded within the paint.

This work reflects Jasem’s deep engagement with the human condition — an embrace that transcends individuality, speaking instead to the shared pulse of existence.
