Still Within

In Still Within, Besher Koushani continues his exploration of fragmented identity and introspection. The seated figure, rendered in layered vertical strokes, appears suspended between thought and presence. The muted palette of crimson, ivory, and shadowed grey creates a cinematic quiet — a moment of reflection frozen in time.

Through the repetition of fractured forms, Koushani transforms stillness into tension, revealing the delicate architecture of solitude. The vase and flowers, equally abstracted, mirror the subject’s emotional distance — beauty contained within the boundaries of restraint.
